Basketball Game Preview: Westview Wolverines vs. Mission Hills Grizzlies

Westview is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Mission Hills is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Westview Wolverines will welcome the Mission Hills Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Tuesday, Westview took their matchup with ease, bagging a 70-33 win over Del Norte. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Nighthawks are ranked 708th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Mission Hills over Poway in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Mission Hills blew Poway out of the water with a 101-21 final score. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

Westview is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Mission Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 17-8.
