Soccer Game Preview: Carver vs. Sumter County

The Carver Tigers will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Sumter County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Carver came up short against Columbus on Monday, falling 11-2. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Sumter County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top against Spencer by a score of 4-2. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Carver's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sumter County, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
