Recap: Rome Wolves vs. Creekview Grizzlies
Rome was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They took a 17-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Creekview Grizzlies. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Jeremiah Farrer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. JD Lanier was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.
Rome's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Creekview, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rome will take on Etowah at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Etowah's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Rome's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Creekview, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Sequoyah at 5:55 p.m. Creekview will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
