Preview: Preuss UCSD Tritons vs. Helix Highlanders
The Preuss UCSD Tritons will take on the Helix Highlanders in a holiday battle at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Preuss UCSD is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Last Saturday, Preuss UCSD was beaten by Mission Bay 43-4. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Preuss UCSD has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Helix scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They breezed by Mission Bay on the road to the tune of 57-20. With Helix ahead 28-4 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Helix to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordyn McMillan, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Mykhaila Clark, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Preuss UCSD has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Helix, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
