Monte Vista is hoping to do what Bethel couldn't on Thursday: put an end to Salesian College Preparatory's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Salesian College Preparatory claimed a resounding 80-32 victory over Bethel. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-18.

Salesian College Preparatory's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamia Sawyer, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. With that strong performance, Sawyer is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Naomi Young, who posted 16 points and six steals.

Salesian College Preparatory was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Monte Vista, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Liberty by a score of 46-39 on Saturday.

Monte Vista pushed their record up to 3-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Salesian College Preparatory, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Salesian College Preparatory strolled past Monte Vista in their previous meeting back in February by a score of 70-52.
