Baseball Recap: Therrell Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Therrell's offense. They came up short against the Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears on Monday, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Monday.

Therrell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Traveon Banks, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Therrell's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Holy Innocents Episcopal, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Therrell will take on rival Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Therrell's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Washington has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Meanwhile, Holy Innocents Episcopal is set to challenge their familiar foe Hapeville Charter at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
