Baseball Game Preview: Central Gwinnett Black Knights vs. Cedar Shoals Jaguars

For the second straight game, Central Gwinnett will face off against Cedar Shoals. The Black Knights will be playing at home against the Jaguars at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Central Gwinnett is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Things were looking good for Central Gwinnett after they put the first run on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Cedar Shoals by a score of 12-11. That's two games in a row now that the Black Knights have lost by just one run.

For Cedar Shoals' part, Danny Salter was excellent, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits Salter has posted since back in February. Tristan Nix was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Central Gwinnett's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Cedar Shoals, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13.
