Football Recap: Fair Haven Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Lyndon Institute

Fair Haven faced Lyndon Institute in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Slaters were just a hair shy of victory and fell 14-13 to the Vikings. The Slaters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Fair Haven's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lyndon Institute, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Fair Haven is set to square off against their familiar foe Mt. Mansfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lyndon Institute will face off against rival U-32 at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
