Softball Recap: Sioux Central Wins Going Away Against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union

Sioux Central won against East Sac County on Monday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Rebels were the clear victors by a 17-9 margin over the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won eight matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Sioux Central is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sioux Central will take on Storm Lake St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, they will challenge South O'Brien at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
