Baseball Recap: Jenkins County Comes Up Short

Jenkins County suffered their closest defeat since March 3rd on Friday. They fell just short of the Metter Tigers by a score of 5-3. The War Eagles haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Jenkins County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Allen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another was Tyler Williams, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Jenkins County's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Metter, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.
