With a playoff win on the line, South Oak Cliff rose to the challenge on Thursday. They really took it to the Crandall Pirates for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-18 win. Considering the Bears have won eight contests by more than 30 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

South Oak Cliff's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Levon Morton, who rushed for 146 yards and two scores on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing yards Morton has posted since back in August. Torrin Teague was another key receiver, picking up 155 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

South Oak Cliff's run defense was locked in: Crandall could only muster 3.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Cody Smith for the heroic effort on defense: he. South Oak Cliff hasn't allowed more than 9.1 yards per carry in five consecutive matchups.

South Oak Cliff's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.9 points on average this season. As for Crandall, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Looking ahead, South Oak Cliff will square off against Mt. Pleasant at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. Crandall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
