Recap: Cloverdale Eagles vs. Clear Lake Cardinals
After only three points in their last match, the Cloverdale Eagles made sure to put some points up on the board against the Clear Lake Cardinals on Saturday. Cloverdale claimed a resounding 64-30 win over Clear Lake on the road. Given Cloverdale's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Clear Lake is ranked 504th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tylie Hatcher continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Cloverdale's points. Another player making a difference was Bella Sanchez, who scored 12 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Cloverdale and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for Clear Lake, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Cloverdale's road trip will continue as they head out to face Ygnacio Valley at 4:30 p.m. on December 9th. Ygnacio Valley will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Clear Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against Upper Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Upper Lake is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
