Volleyball Recap: Lakeland Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Lakeland Christian Academy lost against Bethany Christian back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Bruins. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Lakeland Christian Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Bethany Christian's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-14, 25-19.

Eva Meza paced Lakeland Christian Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Meza got some help from Lila Harmon and her nine assists. Harmon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lakeland Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Bethany Christian, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7.

Lakeland Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Southern Wells on the 13th. As for Bethany Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Churubusco on the 13th.
