Softball Recap: Omaha Central Wins Going Away Against Buena Vista

Omaha Central got themselves on the board against Buena Vista on Thursday, but Buena Vista never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Bison with a sharp 12-0 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bison recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Edie Titus made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Katelyn McClure was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Maddie Litton was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Omaha Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .588. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Omaha Central's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Buena Vista, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
