Baseball Recap: Noah Dowd's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Coastal Homeschool over Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics

Coastal HomeSchool had lost three straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 16-17 to make it four. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-5 to the Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Hurricanes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

Coastal HomeSchool saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Dowd, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since March 6th.

On Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' side, Kohen Lott looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Lott has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Avery Sheldon was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Nick Moss was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Coming up, Coastal HomeSchool will challenge First Preparatory Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
