Recap: Mission Oak Hawks vs. Paso Robles Bearcats

With a playoff game on the line, the Mission Oak Hawks rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They strolled past the Bearcats with points to spare, taking the game 56-40. Winning may never get old, but Mission Oak sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Leading Mission Oak to victory were Isabella Zepeda and Sierra Calantas. Zepeda scored 16 points along with five rebounds, while Calantas dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Calantas hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Braelyn Serpa, who scored four points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Mission Oak has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. As for Paso Robles, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-11.

Mission Oak is on the road again on Friday and plays Tehachapi at 6:00 p.m. on February 16th. Tehachapi will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something Mission Oak surely won't give up without a fight. Paso Robles does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
