Soccer Recap: Bakersfield Comes Up Short

Bakersfield managed to keep up with Independence until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Bakersfield Drillers came up short against the Independence Falcons, falling 4-0. The Drillers have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Bakersfield's record is now 5-5. As for Independence, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6-1.

Bakersfield and Independence's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Bakersfield and Highland (who has only given up 0.5 goals per game) will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Independence will face off against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, a team that's only allowed 0.4 goals per game.
