Softball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln lost against Sioux City East back in July of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lynx fell just short of the Black Raiders by a score of 9-8. The Lynx have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ana Watkins made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Baylee Batt, who went 1-for-4 with two runs.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Sioux City East, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Black Raiders beat Lincoln by a score of 8-0 later that day.
