Basketball Game Preview: Benicia Panthers vs. Miramonte Matadors

The Benicia Panthers will face off against the Miramonte Matadors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Benicia is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 59 points on Friday, they were much more limited against Mt. Diablo on Monday. They were outmatched by the Red Devils and fell 41-14. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Miramonte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clayton Valley Charter. That's two games in a row now that the Matadors have lost by exactly eight points.

Benicia's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3. As for Miramonte, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
