Baseball Recap: Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Stockbridge last Wednesday, Eagle's Landing Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers fell just short of the Stockbridge Tigers by a score of 7-6 on Friday. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 14-3.

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Pauldin, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was Pauldin's first of the season.

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Stockbridge, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 2-8 record.

Coming up, Eagle's Landing Christian Academy will be playing at home against Woodland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Woodland has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.9 runs per game on average), something Eagle's Landing Christian Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Stockbridge, they will venture away from home to take on McDonough at 5:55 p.m. on Monday. Stockbridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
