Basketball Recap: Purchase Line Skates Past Moshannon Valley with Ease

Purchase Line won the last time they faced Moshannon Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Purchase Line Red Dragons simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels 63-19. The Red Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 28 points or more this season.

Purchase Line found their leader in freshman Rylee Mahaffey, who went 11 for 13 en route to 25 points along with seven boards and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mahaffey has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Weaver, who posted nine points in addition to six assists and six rebounds.

Purchase Line is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Moshannon Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Looking ahead, Purchase Line will challenge West Shamokin at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Moshannon Valley, they have already played their next match, a 46-35 victory against Mount Union on the 8th.
