Football Recap: Horizon Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Horizon extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. The game between the Hawks and the Castle View Sabercats didn't end well, with the Hawks falling 21-7. The Hawks lost against the Sabercats in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 51-6 score last time.

Sullivan Saunders threw for 57 yards on eight of 12 attempts. Chayce Hansen was his top target, picking up 29 receiving yards. On the ground, Xavier Hill rushed for 96 yards.

As for Castle View, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 points in those games.

Among those leading the charge was Carter Henman, who rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns.

Horizon has already played their next match, a 47-0 win against Boulder on the 19th. As for Castle View, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-7 defeat against Douglas County on the 18th.
