Baseball Game Preview: Addison Trail Blazers vs. Leyden Eagles

For the second straight game, Addison Trail will face off against Leyden. The Blazers will host the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Addison Trail is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Addison Trail earned a 6-3 win over Leyden.

Aaron Pastewski made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Addison Trail's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 7-14 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Robert Morales was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

The victory got Addison Trail back to even at 14-14. As for Leyden, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-22.
