Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Penn Wood). They managed a 50-44 win over the West Philadelphia Speedboys on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.
Penn Wood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylah Kennedy, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Kennedy continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kailyn Freeman, who posted seven points in addition to five assists and four steals.
Penn Wood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.
