Baseball Game Preview: Tattnall County Warriors vs. Pierce County Bears

Tattnall County hasn't had much luck against Pierce County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tattnall County Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Pierce County Bears at 6:00 p.m. The matchup will give Tattnall County their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.

Tattnall County is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They lost 9-2 to Vidalia. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since February 13th.

Aiden Brock made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Peyton Finnerty also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Pierce County won against Vidalia on Tuesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Pierce County's pitchers stepped up to hand Toombs County a 7-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on three straight.

Pierce County pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Tattnall County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Tattnall County suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Pierce County in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Tattnall County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
