Sacred Heart fell victim to Republic County and their airtight defense  on Friday. They took  an  8-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buffaloes. Having soared to a lofty 41  points in the game before, the Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Maddox Wells threw for 77 yards  on seven of 14 attempts.   Dom Matteucci was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards.  On the ground,  Elias Gordon rushed for 47 yards.

Sacred Heart moved to 5-3 with that  loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Republic County, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sacred Heart will welcome Marion  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Republic County, they will be playing at home against Oakley  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Buffaloes will be up against the Plainsmen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.86  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
