Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Park Performing Arts vs. Hopewell Vikings

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Lincoln Park Performing Arts turned things around against Ambridge on Monday. They blew past the Bridgers 54-13. Lincoln Park Performing Arts' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Lincoln Park Performing Arts found their leader in sophomore Patty Wesolowski, who posted 24 points. Scarlet D'Amico was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Meanwhile, Hopewell hadn't done well against Freedom Area recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Hopewell put the hurt on Freedom Area with a sharp 59-36 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Lincoln Park Performing Arts' victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Hopewell, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.

Lincoln Park Performing Arts beat Hopewell 51-38 in their previous matchup back in December of 2018. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Hopewell's Siara Conley, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds.
