Soccer Game Preview: Perry vs. Madison

The Perry Pirates are taking a road trip to face off against the Madison Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Perry has given up an average of 4.1 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Perry's offense. They came up short against Fairview on Saturday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Perry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 475th, while Fairview are ranked 216th).

Meanwhile, Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Beachwood.

Perry's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Madison, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-2.

Perry might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Madison in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Pirates were down 4-0.
