Softball Recap: Chandler Beats Ninnekah for Their Sixth Straight Win

Chandler came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Ninnekah Owls as they made off with a 13-0 victory. Considering the Lions have won 14 games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Madison Herring looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Halle Herrmann, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Madison Cagle was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Chandler hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters in five consecutive matchups.

Chandler's record is now 22-2. As for Ninnekah, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Chandler will be playing in front of their home fans against Yukon at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Ninnekah, they are taking a road trip to take on Marlow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
