Baseball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against East Central on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 5-4. The Cubs just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for East Central, their win bumped their record up to an identical 16-5.

While Madison had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
