Basketball Game Preview: Hamilton Heights Huskies vs. Heritage Christian Eagles

The Hamilton Heights Huskies will head out to take on the Heritage Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Hamilton Heights is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 57 points last Saturday, they were much more limited against Lafayette Central Catholic on Friday. They had to suffer through a 60-14 loss at the hands of the Knights. The Huskies haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Katie Brown put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted six points. What's more, she also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Heritage Christian on Thursday. They took down Oldenburg Academy 60-41. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Heritage Christian's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-12. As for Hamilton Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.

Hamilton Heights took their victory against Heritage Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 80-55. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Heritage Christian's Mya Davis, who went 11 of 21 en route to 27 points.
