Recap: Eisenhower Eagles vs. San Gorgonio Spartans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rialto, the Eisenhower Eagles were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 victory over San Gorgonio. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Eisenhower has posted since November 17, 2023.
Eisenhower found their leader in underclassman Leyla Payan, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mauriaja Johnson, who scored ten points.
Eisenhower now has a winning record of 10-9. As for San Gorgonio, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-11.
Eisenhower will head out on the road to face off against the SkyHawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Summit has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 202 points over their last three matchups. San Gorgonio does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
