Basketball Game Preview: Scranton Knights vs. Scranton Prep Cavaliers

Scranton is 2-8 against Scranton Prep since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Scranton Knights will welcome the Scranton Prep Cavaliers at 6:45 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Scranton comes in on four and Scranton Prep on six.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for Scranton against Holy Cross as the team secured a 57-30 win. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Scranton Prep ended the year with a bang, routing Dunmore 69-47 on Friday. The Cavaliers is also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the four match they've won by 20+ points or more this season.

Scranton's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Scranton Prep, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Everything went Scranton's way against Scranton Prep in their previous matchup back in February, as Scranton made off with a 64-43 victory. Will Scranton repeat their success, or does Scranton Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
