Softball Recap: Highway 6 Comes Up Short

The Highway 6 Trailblazers came up short against the Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines on Thursday, falling 10-2. The Trailblazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alexa Hale was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

Highway 6's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Wilber-Clatonia, their record now sits at 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highway 6 will take on Lexington at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Minutemen have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.4 runs per game on average), something the Trailblazers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wilber-Clatonia, they will square off against Milford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight.
