Softball Recap: Jenkins County Comes Up Short

Jenkins County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Claxton Tigers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jenkins County's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Claxton, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-11 record.

Looking ahead, Jenkins County will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Thomas Jefferson Academy at 5:30 p.m. As for Claxton, they will head out to challenge Bryan County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
