Football Game Preview: Wamego Red Raiders vs. Buhler Crusaders

The Wamego Red Raiders will take on the Buhler Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Wamego managed to slip by Hayden the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Red Raiders were outmatched by the Wildcats and fell 42-6. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, the Red Raiders couldn't push the score so high this time.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Buhler and Circle had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Crusaders were the clear victors by a 42-20 margin over the Thunderbirds on Friday. The Crusaders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Wamego's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Buhler, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Things could have been worse for Wamego, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 28-14 loss to Buhler in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Red Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
