Softball Recap: Hillgrove Comes Up Short

Hillgrove lost against Harrison back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hawks fell just short of the Hoyas by a score of 2-1.

Hillgrove's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Harrison, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hillgrove will head out to square off against Kell at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Harrison, they will challenge Cartersville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hoyas 2.7, the Hurricanes 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
