Softball Recap: Upson-Lee Takes a Loss

Upson-Lee fell victim to Crawford County and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 6-0 to the Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Carsen Barfield was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one stolen base.

Upson-Lee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Crawford County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Upson-Lee will be playing in front of their home fans against Troup County at 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Tigers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Crawford County, they will venture away from home to challenge Rutland at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
