Softball Recap: Lakeside's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Lakeside barely beat Shiloh the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings put the hurt on the Generals with a sharp 13-3 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won seven matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Porter Bemiss, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Willow Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Lakeside's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-9. As for Shiloh, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeside will take on Galloway at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Scots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.8 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Shiloh, they will venture away from home to challenge Woodward Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
