Softball Recap: Grayson Comes Up Short

Grayson managed to slip by Jackson County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rams lost 14-7 to the Panthers on Tuesday. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Grayson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Jackson County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grayson will welcome Rockdale County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Jackson County, they will be playing at home against Clarke Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Gladiators' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
