Moore took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Lone Grove, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Longhorns 4-3 on Saturday. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 7-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Moore is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Lone Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-2.
