Soccer Recap: Ware County Comes Up Short

Ware County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-1 to the Perry Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Panthers are ranked fourth).

Ware County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Perry, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Looking ahead, Ware County will take on New Hampstead at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ware County will be up against New Hampstead's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.86 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Perry, they will challenge Benedictine at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Benedictine likes a good challenge.
