Football Recap: Kobie Campbell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Needville over Sealy + How To Watch

Needville's game on Friday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against the Sealy Tigers, falling 42-21. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Several Bluejays players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kobie Campbell, who rushed for 143 yards and one TD. Needville also got help from Ralphie Ortiz, who showed off his sure hands for 100 receiving yards.

Sealy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Romeo Castillo, who picked up 33 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 53 yards. Another player making a difference was AJ Cepon, who picked up 30 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Needville's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Sealy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Needville and Sealy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Bluejays see the field they'll take on Navasota at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Sealy, their break will end when they face Bellville at 7:30 p.m. on October 10.
