Basketball Recap: Benton Comes Up Short

Benton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 46-33 to the Bloomsburg Panthers. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 66-38 to them when the teams met back in December of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bloomsburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Delaney Zentner, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards Zentner has posted since back in December of 2024. Ally Bang was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Benton now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Bloomsburg, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-12.

As of now, neither Benton nor Bloomsburg have any future games scheduled.
