Baseball Recap: Triton Comes Up Short

Triton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 10-3 to the Clearview Pioneers. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pioneers from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Triton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braydon Bangs, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Triton's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Clearview, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5-2 record this season.

Triton is taking a road trip to take on Washington Township at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clearview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cumberland at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colts have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
