Football Recap: Birdville Hawks vs. Fossil Ridge Panthers
On Friday, the Birdville Hawks came up short against the Fossil Ridge Panthers and fell 44-31. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Draylon Galloway was a one-man wrecking crew for Fossil Ridge as he rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 56 receiving yards and a touchdown. Galloway's longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Malaki Lockhart was another key player, throwing for 178 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Birdville's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Fossil Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
