Softball Recap: Joseph City Extends Winning Streak to Four

Joseph City entered their tilt with St. Johns on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Redskins 12-3. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 14 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

April Neill and Audrey Neill did most of the damage at the plate: April scored four runs while going 3-for-3, while Audrey went 2-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave Audrey a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Staisha Murdock, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Joseph City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matches.

Joseph City's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for St. Johns, they moved to 13-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Joseph City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-2 defeat against Horizon Honors on the 12th. As for St. Johns, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-4 win against Holbrook on the 14th.
