Soccer Recap: Union Grove Takes a Loss

Union Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Stockbridge Tigers who were credited with the win. The Stockbridge Tigers got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Union Grove Wolverines' three. Union Grove were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Stockbridge apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Union Grove's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Stockbridge, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Coincidentally, Union Grove and Stockbridge will both be playing Locust Grove the next time they take the pitch. Union Grove will host Locust Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Stockbridge will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
