Perry waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They rang in the new year with a 40-29 win over the Green Bulldogs. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 60-14 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Perry's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Green, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Perry will challenge rival Jackson at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Green is set to square off against their familiar foe McKinley at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
