Basketball Recap: Clovis North Comes Up Short

After flying high against Clovis East on Tuesday, Clovis North came back down to earth. The Broncos had to suffer through a 73-37 loss at the hands of the Clovis Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Cougars are ranked 13th).

Clovis North has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-10 record this season. As for Clovis, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-9.

Coming up, Clovis North will head out on the road to challenge Central East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clovis, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Joseph at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
